As per the Income Tax Act, the Financial Year starts from April and ends n March of the next year. So for FY 2021-22, the financial year will end on March 2022. Since you were trying to pay self-assessment tax which can be paid only after the closing of the FY.
However, if you want to pay the taxes now, please pay under the head advance tax.

Dear Naval, In case of salaried person the responsibility to deducted tax (TDS) is that of employer. Please recheck whether your tax has been deducted by employer or not and in any case if not deducted pay the tax under the head Advance tax before 31st March to save the Interest . Hi,

I live in a non-metro city in India. I'm getting an HRA of 4.5LPA. But the house where I'm living belongs to my parents & also my aunt. In this situation, can I claim 4.5LPA HRA by paying 40k/month rent just to my parents?.

NOTES -
I live in a non-metro city in India.
The house is co-owned by my mother & aunt.
Do I need to make a rent agreement? I don't have any rent agreement for this 2021-22 financial year? If I make one now, will I be able to claim HRA for this financial year?
If the answer is no for Q-3, what's my best alternative?

CA Puja Sharma       19 Mar 2022

Yes, you can claim HRA even if the rent is paid to your parents or other relatives.
Execute a rent agreement today and make it effective from 1st April 2021.
The amount of HRA that you will get as deduction depends upon other factors also like your basic salary etc for which more detailed information is required.

Dear Sir/Madam, I Payment agreement, builder (NBCC who is a government enterprise) wrote that interest
will be charged as per SBI MCLR highest rate while SBI MCLR Rate was 9 % But they are charging @ 9.5%
also as per my calculations, I have paid entire Money including interest but still, they are confusing me
& showing erroneous calculations and still asking for a difference of 2 Lacs, I have written many emails
with explanation and my calculation but they are not hearing to it & pressurizing me to pay the amount.
What I can do in this case and what legal recourse is available in this case.
