In you receive salary and interest from LLP firm then you have to pay tax on it. If you receive only profit share then no tax. If case you need any further assistance you can contact on jainabhi189@gmail.com

CA Naman Maloo       8 Jun 2020

If you are receiving profit on which LLP has already paid tax then it's tax free.
On salary and interest received from LLP you need to pay tax.

Hello, I am planning to start a new business dealing in rice, wheat, sugar and cooking oil. As the business is new I am not sure about the turnover right now. Will I need to get a GST number?

If you are starting offline business you meed to register only when you cross the turnover of 40 lakh.
If you wish to sell online you must register from the beginning and many of your items would also attract 0% tax.

Rice wheat not taxable under GST. If you are selling rice and wheat under registered Trade Mark then it will be taxable.
Sugar and cooking oil taxable under GST.
Since you will be dealing in taxable goods , gst number needs to be taken if yearly turnover crosses Rs 40 lacs.
Before proceeding I would suggest, you do consult with a professional on one to one basis.
